Mark Herringshaw
A leader, pastor, sought-after teacher and spiritual life coach, Mark currently serves as teaching pastor at  North Heights Lutheran Church  in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mark is committed to helping people turn information into transformation. By leveraging the crafts of storytelling, Biblical scholarship, and scientific research he creatively engages topics such as spiritual disciplines, relationships, and conflict resolution. His most popular seminars, “Living For Ever,” “Listen Up to a Down to Earth God,” “Unleadership,” “Praying for a Change,” and “The Reignmaker Project” incorporate innovative learning methods that make complex ideas simple, practical and memorable.  As the founder and director of eEmbassy, he continues to develop new models for creative communication.

Before joining Jennifer on Six Prayer God Always Answers, Mark had written more than seventy-five articles that have appeared in various publications, including Alive!, In Touch, a publication of YWAM Associates, and Lutheran Renewal. He is a frequent conference speaker as well as a seminary professor at Master’s Institute in St. Paul where he has developed courses including “Ceasefire: Healing Interpersonal Conflicts,” “Letting the Bible Read You,” “Matthew’s Gospel: War of the Worlds,” “Leadership Communication,” and “Leadership Prayer.”  

“The Effects of Long-Distance Intercessory Prayer and Anti-Tobacco Communication on Teenager Intention to Smoke Cigarettes” was the title of Mark’s Ph.D. dissertation. His ground-breaking research was the first known example of double-blind methods used to study prayer in medical science being applied in a social science discipline.

A native of Santa Cruz, California, Mark graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a
B.A. in English and Biblical studies. He is also completed studies with the Academy of Performing Arts in Cambridge, Ontario. Mark has done work at Luther Seminary, and Regent College and he holds a Ph.D. in leadership from Regent University.

Mark and his wife Jill have four children, Emily, Elisabeth, Matthew, and Michael.

Jennifer Schuchmann
Whether writing or speaking, Jennifer loves the challenge of taking difficult concepts and finding ways to make them easy to understand, practical, and transformational. When possible, she enjoys collaborating with other like-minded writers, artists, and professionals. In addition to her projects with Mark, she is also collaborating with five wonderful women authors on a book of stories about prodigal daughters.

Jennifer’s first book Your Unforgettable Life, co-authored with Craig Chapin, (
Beacon Hill 2005) demonstrated how the little things have a big impact on our legacy. Her second book was ghostwritten for an international leadership consultant.

She has contributed to several books including
Couples’ Devotional Bible (Zondervan, 2008), The Church Leader’s Answer Book (Tyndale 2006), and Whispering in God’s Ear (WaterBrook 2005).

Her writing has appeared in: Today's Christian, Marriage Partnership, Christian Parenting, Your Church magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Advanced Christian Writer, Christian Communicator, Drama Ministry, Creator, and One in a Million, as well as local and Web-based publications.

Other writing projects include church curriculum, the books for four musicals, a one-act play, business workbooks used by missionaries to help entrepreneurs in third-world countries start their own businesses, and numerous for-hire projects, including fundraising letters, press releases, and ghosted magazine articles.

An accomplished writer, trainer, and speaker noted for creative and practical approaches to business and spiritual topics, Jennifer has an extensive public speaking background, including coaching executives on speaking and presentation skills. She holds an M.B.A. from Emory University with an emphasis in marketing and communications and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Memphis.

For almost fifteen years, Jennifer was a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist, where she founded, and co-taught Sunday morning Bible studies and occasionally performed with the drama group. She is currently attending a new church plant. Jennifer and her husband David have one son.
